This study evaluated the effects of Sildenafil, a potent inhibitor of cGMP, on erectile dysfunction in men. However, it also found that Sildenafil does not cure erectile dysfunction, treat PAH, or work as well as Viagra. In this article, we will explain why Sildenafil is not the answer to erectile dysfunction.
Sildenafil is a potent inhibitor of cGMP
The effectiveness of Sildenafil Citrate as an erectile dysfunction treatment has been determined through several studies. In one such study, erectile function was significantly improved in patients treated with sildenafil compared to patients who received a placebo. The IIEF measures erection and maintaining it, and the Event Log records many attempts and successful erections.
This drug is an oral therapy for erectile dysfunction. Sildenafil citrate is a potent inhibitor of cGMP that enhances the effect of nitric oxide in the corpus cavernosum, which restores erectile function in men with diabetes.
In a clinical trial of Sildenafil Citrate, 126 subjects received either 100 mg or 50 mg twice daily. Another five patients received a placebo. Approximately four patients discontinued the study because of an adverse event, and eight patients discontinued because of another problem. The reasons for discontinuation are listed below.
Sildenafil Citrate is a selective inhibitor of phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5), the enzyme that is responsible for degrading cGMP. The drug has a peripheral effect on the penile erection, but it does not cause erections without sexual stimulation. The drug is available in the form of tablets and mouth sprays.
Sildenafil does not cure erectile dysfunction
The National Institutes of Health defines erectile dysfunction as a condition that causes impotence. In addition, it can result from damage to the arteries, smooth muscle, and fibrous tissues in the penis. However, the study also found that some conditions or diseases are related to erectile dysfunction. Nevertheless, there is no definite cure for the condition.
When Viagra first came on the market, many men rushed to their doctor’s office in the hopes of finding a cure. The first drug prescribed to treat erectile dysfunction is sildenafil citrate (Fildena 100). However, there are some side effects and interactions of sildenafil.
While sildenafil citrate is a generic form of Viagra, some people are skeptical of generic brands. While the main difference between a popular brand and its generic version is the cost of the drug, the inactive ingredients are almost identical. Generic sildenafil is more affordable than the brand, so there is no need to worry about its effectiveness. As long as you adhere to the dosage amounts prescribed by your doctor, generic sildenafil does not cure erectile dysfunction.
While Sildenafil Citrate does not cure the condition, it does help to treat some of the symptoms associated with it. Viagra is a phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitor, which slows down PDE5 – the enzyme responsible for relaxing the muscle and widening blood vessels. However, it is still unclear whether Viagra cures ED, and it will be important to determine the best course of treatment for your specific case.
It does not treat PAH
The FDA has recently approved a drug to treat PAH associated with erectile dysfunction (ED). However, it’s important to note that it is not a cure for PAH. Sildenafil Citrate treats PAH by relaxing blood vessels, which makes blood flow more easily through them. Despite its success, this treatment does not address PAH itself.
The sildenafil is taken as needed, as directed by your physician. Take it as directed, usually about an hour before sexual activity, and shake the bottle well. Always follow the label instructions and talk to your pharmacist if you are unsure of anything. If your symptoms continue to worsen, contact your doctor as soon as possible.
While it has no proven effect on PAH in women, it has no such risk in men. Women should also consult their doctor before taking sildenafil. Moreover, they should never take sildenafil if they’re pregnant or breastfeeding.
The Super-1 trial, a high-quality randomized control trial, showed that sildenafil did not improve the symptoms of PAH. The population included patients with idiopathic PAH. Subgroup analysis in patients with other diagnoses failed to find any statistically significant improvement in six-minute walk distance.
It does not work as well as Viagra
The primary cause of ED is abnormal blood circulation in the penis. The penile shaft becomes stiff, and this results in an erection that lasts longer than normal. The primary solution to this problem is medication, such as Viagra. This widely advertised medication helps men get an erection. However, it doesn’t work for everyone.
Although this is difficult to determine based on one’s specific situation, psychological pressure can affect sexual stimulation. Often, this causes discomfort or a poor response to stimuli. In addition, performance anxiety or stress can prevent a man from achieving the desired erection. To overcome this problem, men should be mentally comfortable during sexual activities. Lifestyle changes and psychological comfort can be helpful ways to overcome this problem.
If Viagra does not work, the problem may not be vascular. For example, it may not work for a man with high blood pressure (140/110 mmHg) or neuropathy. Other reasons why Viagra doesn’t work may have to do with the blood flowing through the penile arteries. However, it can help improve overall sexual performance.
It does not work as well as other ED medications
While it is true that Sildenafil Citrate does not work quite as well as other ED medications, many studies show that it is still superior to other ED drugs. Several studies have found that the drug is more effective than a placebo in improving erections in some patients. For example, a recent study found that sildenafil improves erections in about 70 percent of patients.
Another issue is that sildenafil is only effective when taken before sexual activity, and not during the day. For best results, it must be taken at least one hour before sexual activity. If you take it before or after eating, the drug may continue to work for up to five hours afterward. Taking sildenafil after a heavy meal may make it take longer for it to work, however.
Another issue is the price. Sildenafil Citrate is less expensive than other ED drugs, but it must be taken on an empty stomach. Tadalafil(Vidalista 20) costs more, but it lasts for a longer period, allowing for more active sex life. Vardenafil, the most expensive of the three, is the best option if you have not found success with other ED medications.
While most ED medicines cause side effects, Sildenafil Citrate is the most effective treatment for most ED sufferers. Tadalafil is also known to have side effects. These include nausea, flushing, and headache. However, many people choose to take alternative medications if sildenafil isn’t working.
